Boy he looked handsome!!!

My three year old Saige caught me off guard as we left church on Sunday after talking to our friends the Smith's. Saige turned to me and said boy Jake sure looked handsome. I didn't know Saige knew what handsome even meant. I don't know if I should be scared or not. Jake is a handsome little boy. Magen for my sake don't let Jake look so handsome all the time. Here is a picture of Saige and her friend Jake cruising in her jeep.

Another tooth gone

The fearsome foursome:Olivia,Sammie, Sammie, and MorganThe proud toothless picture of Sam
It may seem like we focus on teeth a lot lately in our family but I thought it was so cute I had to share. The other night at Sammie's soccer game so ran over and told me she could taste blood . But she stayed in and kept playing. the next thing you see is Sammie holding up tooth yelling " I lost a tooth, I lost a tooth. To make it even cooler she had blood smeared on her cheek which made it seem even tougher as she ran around showing her friends.

Our family at the Bonfire

My mother in law had two other sisters and every year we get together with them and their kids for a little reunion at Bear lake it is always the weekend after labor day so we are always gambling with the weather. This year the weather was great and we had a lot of fun we went to blue water beach were we boated and rented wave runners. I spent most of the time on the beach soaking up the sun. Sammie loved following her little cousin Sierra around. Saige had fun rolling around in the sand.(which was hard to get out of all of her crevices in the shower) Of course Clark spent all his time on the boat.At night we had a dinner and a bonfire. It was fun to see how all the little ones had change in a years time.

Patiently waiting for sister to get home

Samantha and Saige both love to eat on our blue plates and blue cups and there is usually a melt down if one gets a blue one and the other doesn't. I was in doing laundry and I could hear Saige climbing on the counter and when I went in there she had gathered all our blue cups and blue bowls. I asked her what she was doing she said" I am getting ready for our snack when Sammie gets home from school. Sammie wasn't coming home for a couple more hours so I talked her into sitting on her bed and reading books. She insisted on bringing them with her I guess she was worried me and Clark would use them or something .Well she fell asleep as I had hoped so I snuck a picture. She loves Sammie so much and wants everything her big Sis has.

Attack of the killer pumkins

We let the girls pick a couple pumkins that were orange it was killing them to wait any longer
Some of the veggies that we have grown

Samantha showing the pumpkins that are taking over our yard

At the beginning of the summer I posted my family planting our first garden. Well I thought I would follow up with the after pictures. Lets just say next year we will go easy on the pumpkin seeds. Our pumpkins have taken over our back yard. I have had so much fun watching my garden grow and eating the yummy veggies. There is nothing better than fresh grown green beans. The girls were so excited to pick the pumpkins and would periodically go out to find the biggest pumpkin to claim as theirs.

Sammie lost her first tooth

Samantha lost her tooth the second week of school. She likes to tell people she lost her first tooth in first grade. the funnest part is it happen at school so she got to carry it around in a cup and show everyone. When she got home from school she called everyone and went around and showed all the neighbors. Her sister got a hold of it and she put it in the car. well we didn't know that at the time so Sammie was very upset and we needed to get ready for soccer/kickball but she wanted to find her tooth because grandma and grandpa would be at the game and she wanted to show them. We decided to say a prayer and we looked a few places then Saige said I know were it is I put it in the car. Clark had looked there but did not see it. Saige head out and then came back in with the tooth. This was a great faith building experience for Samantha and Saige it help them rely on the Lords help. The next morning Sammie woke up at 6:00AM to come show us what the tooth fairy left her. She said she felt the tooth fairy lift up her head but she kept her eyes closed so she would still leave the money. We was glad that the fairy left her tooth as well!!! Being a kid is so much fun.

First day of Gymnastics

The future USA Gymnastics team: Sammie, Olivia, Sammie, and Morgan the little sisters: Ellie, Saige, and Kaitlyn

Our little gymnast

Sammie decided to take the year off of dancing and give gymnastics a try. So far she loves it. The first day she had her friends over to practice. They did tricks one the tramp and used our curbing as the balance beam. The little sisters followed in their footsteps as well.

Caprielle Dance clinic

Sam and Saige
Morgan,Kaitlyn, Saige, Sammie, Olivia, Sammie, and Ellie

The caprielle clinic was at USU this year becouse theire track was being fixed. My friend offered to take the girls in hopes that Saige would stay and dance well she cried and her wonderful sister came to her rescue and offered to take her to her class wich was so nice because she was with her friends and she stuck with her little sister. It was so cute so see them come out side by side and dance. I am so proud of sammie she is the best big sister. I later found out as they walked all the way from the Hyper building to the stadium for the performance, she carried her little sister when she was sad and tired. Things like this make being a mom so much fun.

Fall Soccer and Kickball

I thought it would be fun to have Sammie play fall soccer this year and then I found out that they had a little kickball league for the little ones so I signed them both up. It has been crazy to be at both because their games overlap a lot and if you blink or go to the bathroom you will miss the whole thing. Their games are only a half hour long so it is a lot of work to get them dressed and there for such a short time. kickball is a hoot to watch they just wonder around and run the wrong way. They rarely even go after the ball when someone kicks it. Saige has claimed 1st base and stands right on the base and gets bugged when the runners get on her base . Her and her friend Ellie spend a lot of time dusting the dirt off the bases. The other thing that cracks me up is their shirts they give them are huge. I have seen a lot of improvement in Sammie as well. The good thing about four on four is they get more time with the ball. She loves it because her four best friends are all on her team.

End of summer BBQ at the Smith's campground

What a fun way to end the summer we went and had a hamburger fry with the neighborhood. the kids had fun and even got to stay up late on a school night.

Our half pint Saige has started Pre-School

Saige with her teacher Karla Rigby
(We didn't get a picture with her other teacher because we had to drop and run)

Saige lookig at her school deciding if she should go in.

You've got to love it when their backpack is as big as them it is so cute!!!

Saige has been my clingy child who would not let me leave her any were except for her grandma and grandpa's house. I was even her nursery leader. We just recently got released so we tried to leave her at nursery she cried for 2 hours strait for a couple of weeks then with a few bribes and a very patient teacher she stayed and only cried a little bit. I thought I was crazy for signing Saige up for two preschools when she wouldn't even go to nursery. We lucked out and Saige was in one of her friend Jake's class which helped out tremendously. We had to just drop her off crying and run and hope for a miracle. They said she just cried for a minute and then she was fine. Now she goes with no problem . She make sure to tell everyone that she sees that she goes to church and school now and she doesn't cry. so something must have clicked. Saige said, " I love teacher Jill the best because she has hair is like mine. " I asked her what about Karla and she said," I kind of like Karla because she had curly hair!" She is in a little carpool with a couple other neighbors and she thinks that is so fun to be in a carpool like her big sister Sammie. It is so funny to listen to their conversation as we travel to school. Saige you are doing such a good job in school have fun. Mom is excited every day to hear what fun things you do and what yummy snacks you get to eat. In case any of you care I now have free time Mon-Thurs from 9:30-11:00 it is wonderful!!!
