The things kids will do to lose a tooth

Saturday morning Samantha asked me for some yarn. She said she wanted to finger knit. I didn't have any yarn. Well she didn't give up at that she called her grandma Carol and asked her to bring her some yarn. She told her that she wanted to finger knit as well. Well after visiting with grandpa Kent (who dropped off the yarn) I went inside to see if Sammie needed scissors to cut the yarn. When I open her room door I found her with the yarn tied around the door and around her tooth. She had been slamming the door trying to pull her front tooth out. She had so much yarn wich created a lot of slack it wasn't even pulling on her tooth she got very frustrated and gave up. I was glad because I want to get family pictures done before her front tooth falls out.

Saige had trauma besides being hungry and tired she got her finger pinch so she was upset the whole time we carved pumpkins so mom carved Saiges for her she just requested the eye were circle. It's a good thing she didn't have very high expectations.

Samantha's first attempt to carve a pumpkin with a real knife she did a great job!!!

Clark and I had a carving contest but I could not get him to hold still to get his picture taken with his but I talked the girls into picking mine because I reminded them that I snuggle them to sleep at night!!!

The week of Halloween flew by and I swore I would never eat treats again but I am reconsidering as I look through the kids treat bag. We decided to have a little Halloween party because the girls had to dress up for gymnastics anyway and a couple moms brought something to do with the kids and it turned out really cute for being thrown together last second. The girls had a blast on Halloween day they were out of school so we went trick o treating downtown at the stores with the neighbor friends and then we met dad for lunch on our way home we dropped by to show great Grandma and Grandpa Nyman there costumes. We stopped home for dinner and then we went to Sammie's school carnival which was a lot of fun for the girls you got to love the traditional fish pond and cupcake walk although Clark was disappointed they just won a cupcake instead of a whole cake like he did when he was a little tike. Then we were off to the grandma and grandpa Wiser's we were late there and missed all the cousins in their costumes and then we ended at g&g Nyman's house were we trick-o-treated at my old stomping grounds with the girls cousins. The day was not long enough we didn't have time to trick or treat in our neighborhood. but really my kids didn't need anymore candy!!!

Election Day

Samantha had a friend over for dinner tonight we weren't even talking about the election and she turn to her friend and said," So who are you going to vote for John McCain or Barack Obama I couldn't. believe she knew there full names. She is going to grow up and be just like her dad he is way into politics.

Just call 1888 for a flood

I just recently had to buy a new home phone and it came with 3 so I let the girls put one in there rooms. I didn't realize how excited Sammie was about that. My parents were going to watch them that night while I was at young women's so she decided to make a phone book. She had my parents help her put family and friends numbers on her phone list and she keeps it in the draw by her bed. Well on Saturday morning she came out with her phone list and she was writing the number 1888 and then she said this is the number I call if we have a flood. I immediately thought in my head is that a new emergency number they are telling her at school in case we have a natural disaster like a flood. I asked her who gave you that number she said the man on the TV told her to call 1888 if we had a flood. There must have been some commercial on flood restoration or something and she pick up just the first few numbers. I thought that is was so cute she was concerned enough to put it on her phone list.
