New Years 2009

We started the Year off with a bang my nice neighbor watched my kids (thanks Amy)while we got together with our friends from high school this is the one event we can usually plan on seeing everyone and catch up. It is always so much fun I am so spoiled because my friends were also Cl ark's friends so we all get a long really well. Clark got the girls some horns and silly string so we did that with them before we left so they didn't make a huge mess at Amy's. They had a huge celebration at about 6:30PM and then they got to do fireworks again later with Morgan and Kaitlyn. It was a fun way to start of the year!!

Playing Catchup

I am planning on making a book each year for the family so I need to Play a little catchup so please bear with me and feel free to use your scroll button to get you through this quickly but this blog is more for me and my records. It looks like I didn't start this year off very well becouse I still need to post January and Feb. I usually stay up and blog at night but I have been way too tired.

We had a wonderful Christmas it was pretty low key on Christmas Eve we went sledding with the Nyman cousins. the kids actually went to bed early witch made for a nice Christmas morning.Things that made my Christmas this year were some of the funny things my kids said. Samantha decided to leave Santa vegetables because he was getting too fat. As Saige was opening her gifts she said," Yes I must have made it on the good list!" Samantha woke up several time during the night to ask if it was morning yet. She didn't dare come out of her room because we told her if she came out while Santa was here he would leave without leaving the gifts. We ended up moving the girls in our bed so we would be ready with the camera when they woke up. Sammie woke up first and waited patiently for Saige to wake up by talking loudly and moving around on the bed a lot right by Saige so Saige just happened to wake up a couple minutes after Sammie. Of course all that build up and all the work was all done in a couple minutes. The girls were very appreciative and a lot of fun to watch. Clark surprised me with a new camera that I have been wanting for a while. So my kids thought I took too many pictures of them before it is only going to get worse. One thing I enjoyed was we headed to Salt Lake and stayed in a hotel and let the kids swim and then we headed to Temple Square it was a beautiful night and surprisingly not too cold. It was a great way to end Christmas on a spiritual the note.

The Nyman and the Wiser Christmas parties

This year we had our Nyman family party at Blackstone restaurant. It was great, tons of room for the kids to run around and play. The dinner was yummy. My mom baked for days for this there was not one Christmas treat missing from this party.The kids played the candy bar game, Bingo, play-dooh and they even Karaoke Christmas songs it was so fun. the adults even played a few games in between helping with the kids . We played a fun name the Christmas song game and a mean game of 31 which you could win a lot of bubble gum!!! This was a great way to kick off our Christmas week!!

The Wiser family party was a lot of fun as well of course there was tons of good food and the kids had a lot of fun playing around. Sammie brought her Christmas bingo game she made in school to play with the cousins.

Christmas Dresses

I love having a family full of girls because I get to play dress up with them. One tradition we have is to get them a new Christmas dress. Yes I know they aren't twins and they don't always have to match, but I couldn't resist one more time. I am sure Samantha will start to protest matching. I snapped a couple cute pictures of them before we headed to church. I love this time of year!!!

The Love of a Big Sister

The other night Samantha had a few friends over to watch a Christmas movie and as they arrived I thought is was so cute how Saige would run to the door and greet them as if she was one of the group. I thought to myself Saige probably thinks this is so big time hanging with her big sister and all her friends. Samantha never thought twice about it she included Saige in everything she did in fact during the movie she even let Saige sit in the middle of all the friends. With this group of friends being in the middle is a huge deal!! I must have been having an emotional night because I got teary thinking about the love Samantha showed for her little sister and how much Saige looks up to her and wants to be just like her. Don't get me wrong they have there little cat fights but right after they are best friends. I hope as they get older and more involved in things they continue to be so close.
